A note from our Chairman dated 29th August 2022
If you are reading this and you are not already a member of The Probus Club of Sanderstead & Riddlesdown: welcome!
Our social club has been active for over forty years and for much of that time the membership has stood at the maximum of eighty with potential members placed on a waiting list. Our members are retired or semi-retired people most of whom have a professional or business background and who enjoy the opportunity of socialising with like-minded individuals in an atmosphere of friendship, good humour and sometimes lively discussion! Traditionally, we lunch once a month with an after dinner speaker plus we organise various trips and social events throughout the year to which our wives, partners and friends are also invited.
We have been re-evaluating our approach with the aim of retaining and building on our past successes whilst seeking out new opportunities to expand and diversify our activities. Our intention is to develop as an organisation that will retain its fundamental cornerstones of inclusivity and mutual respect whilst broadening its appeal to people who are seeking to spend time with a local group of welcoming and friendly individuals.
Currently, we are not at our maximum numbers so if you are interested in joining us please contact Chris Babbs (chrisbabbs23@gmail.com or 020 8668 2775) You can be certain of a warm welcome !
If you would like to meet with a member of the committee for an informal chat about membership, please let Chris know or call Paul Ferrznolo any time on 07504 237527 (paulandmads@hotmail.com)
Thank You,
Paul Ferrznolo. Chairman
